Note: Although terms are numbered sequentially, it is important to remember that children will enter a class at the beginning of each year, so a child may do term 6:1 (for example) as their first term in the lower primary class.

BUBS: 1 and 2 year olds

This class will have children from their first birthday up to the age of 3. At the end of the term in which they turn 3 (depending on the maturity of the child) they will be moved up to the next class.
With this class each term should have a tub with visuals and props for teacher to use, list of songs and loose lesson plan for the class). With this age group we are just introducing concepts and the experiences of being in a bible class. The children will be learning through songs and visuals about God and Jesus and the beauty of His creation.
There are only three terms that will be cycled as needed.

TERM 2.4—NOAH

KINDERGARTEN: 3 and 4 year olds

This class will have children from the age of 3 until they reach their pre-primary year. The oldest children in this class will be almost 4 1/2 years old at the start of the year (i.e. turning 5 on 1 July or after).
Term topics and objectives:
Term 3.1—God has a plan: Genesis: Creation, Noah, Abraham
Give children a view of how God created all we see in the world and His presence with man from the beginning.
Term 3.2—God has a plan: Moses
Gives children a view that God has had a plan for His people and was actively involved in their lives.
Term 3.3—God has a Plan: Old Testament Characters: Joseph, David, Jonah, Daniel
Gives children a view that God has had a plan for His people and was actively involved in their lives.
Term 3.4—Life of Jesus
Gives children a knowledge of Jesus and His life here on Earth and shows how God's plan was fulfilled by His son.

Term 4.1—God Loves Man and has made me special
Have the students look at how God made each one of us and made us all special. Looks at how God made our bodies and our personalities and how we are to love each other as God loves all of us
Term 4.2—God Loves Man and is with His people in the Old Testament
Children of Israel in wilderness wandering, Hannah, Ruth, Gideon
Term 4.3—God Loves Man: Jesus teaches
Gives children an understanding of God's loves through Jesus teachings and Parables.
Term 4.4—God Loves Man: Jesus Heals and Helps
Gives children a view of Jesus life and how he healed and helped those around him, and demonstrates God's love for man through His son.

EARLY PRIMARY: 5 and 6 year olds (school pre-primary and year 1)

This class will have children in pre-primary or year 1 at school. (The oldest children in this class will turn 7 on 1 July or after.)
Term topics and objectives:
Term 5.1—God is special because He created and sustains everything
The objective is to show that God is special in the way He was involved in the creation of the universe and that He continues to sustain it, with lessons on seasons, growth of plants as well as His involvement in the children's development e.g. Food the children eat and how they grow.
Term 5.2—God is special because He loves people—OT characters
The objective in this term is to show that God is special by the way He cares for people focusing on OT characters.
Term 5.3—Jesus is special because He is God's son—Birth to baptism
The objective in this term is to show that as God's son Jesus is special and focuses on His birth and life up to His baptism
Term 5.4—Jesus is special because He showed people what God is like—Teachings and healings
The objective in this term is to show that Jesus is special because He taught the people what God is like through parables and also healings.
Term 6.1—God is special because He has great power—OT events
The objective is to show that God is special by a series of lessons from the OT showing miraculous events of God's working e.g. Plagues, Elijah and the prophets of Baal
Term 6.2—Jesus is special because God was with Him—Miracles
The objective here is to show the children that Jesus also performed miraculous things so people would see that God was with Him.
Term 6.3—God is special because He keeps His promises—OT
The objective of this term is to show that God is special by being trust worthy and always keeping His promises using events from the O.T. e.g. Noah and rainbow, Joshua entering the promise land.
Term 6.4—Jesus is special because He promised to be with His disciples as they told others about God—Acts
The objective in this term is to show that Jesus is special because His promise to be with His Apostles after He went back to His Father is shown in various events in the book of Acts e.g. Peter in jail , Paul's journey to Rome

LOWER PRIMARY: 7 and 8 year olds (school years 2 and 3)

This class will have children in year 2 and year 3 at school. (The oldest children in this class will not turn 9 until 1 July or after.)
This two year curriculum is broken up into 8 separate terms designed to show the children different attributes of God and His son Jesus.

Term 7.1—God is everywhere
A series of lessons from the Old and New Testaments showing students how God is everywhere.
Term 7.2—God provides
A series of lessons from the Old and New Testaments showing students how God provides for the needs of His people.
Term 7.3—God forgives
A series of lessons from the Old and New Testaments showing students how God loves and forgives man.
Term 7.4—God keeps his promises
A series of lessons from the Old and New Testaments showing students how God keeps his promises will continue to do so.
Term 8.1—God knows everything
A series of lessons from the Old and New Testaments showing students how God is all knowing.
Term 8.2—God is powerful
A series of lessons from the Old and New Testaments showing students how God is powerful, and how he demonstrates His power in various ways.
Term 8.3—God gave us family
A series of lessons from the Old and New Testaments showing students how God provided for families and how He gives us a spiritual family.
Term 8.4—Heroes of faith (Hebrews 11)
A series of lessons centred on Hebrews 11 and taking lessons from the Old Testament to illustrate how these people we faithful.

MIDDLE PRIMARY: 9 and 10 year olds (school years 4 and 5)

Term topics and objectives:
Term 9.1—God is with his people
A series of lessons from the Old and New Testaments showing students how God has always been and will continue to dwell with His people.
Term 9.2—Parables of Christ
A series of lessons from the New Testament focusing on the Parables Jesus taught.
Term 9.3—Miracles of Jesus
A series of lessons from the New Testament displaying God's power through His son Jesus.
Term 9.4—God is Love
A series of lessons centred on 1 Corinthians 13 and taking lessons from OT and NT to demonstrate how God shows those characteristics.
Term 10.1—Jesus In the Old Testament
A series of lessons that looks at prophecies of the Christ and how they are fulfilled in Jesus. The aim is to emphasise how special Jesus is in God's plan by showing that God knew long, long ago what he would achieve through Jesus and what it would cost.
Term 10.2—How God Responds to People
A series of lessons to bring out God's fairness as well as his willingness to forgive by looking at his response to different people in the old and new testament scriptures.
Term 10.3—The Most Important Commands
A series of lessons centred around God's teachings about love for him and love for other people.
Term 10.4—Jesus the Healer
A series of lessons that looks at the power of God to heal as shown in the miracles of Jesus and in the early church.

UPPER PRIMARY: 11 and 12 year olds (school years 6 and 7)

This class will have children in year 6 and year 7 at school. (The oldest children in this class will not turn 13 until 1 July or after.) Note that children in year 7 should remain in this class, even if the school they are at considers year 7 to be high school.

Term 11.1—God's People, God's Plan. Old Testament Survey 1 (ADAM to Moses)
A series of lessons serving as the first of four terms intended to give a chronological overview of God's dealings with a chosen people leading up to Christ. The lessons focus on God's relationship with Israel as a whole as well as with selected individuals, and his ongoing plan of salvation looking ahead to the time of Jesus. By looking at people who God counted as his friends, children should come to an understanding that God wants to be friends with them, too.
Term 11.2—God's People, God's Plan. Old Testament Survey 2 (Joshua to David)

Term 12.1—The Life Of Jesus 1
A series of lessons taken from the gospel of John. During these two terms students will read through the whole of the gospel of John in order, with a view to coming to know Jesus.
Term 12.2—The Life Of Jesus 2.

Term 12.3—The Church Of Christ (Acts)
A series of lessons from the Acts to show that the Old Testament prophecies and the prophecies of Jesus regarding the Kingdom of God were realised in the establishment and spread of Christ's church after his death and resurrection. The nature and purpose of the church are shown in the teaching and practice described in the Acts.
Term 12.4—How People Respond to God
A series of lessons looking at the different kinds of response that people have towards God as exemplified by different people in the old and new testament scriptures, together with the outcome of each. The ultimate objective is to prompt children to think about their own response to God.


LOWER SECONDARY: 13 and 14 year olds (school years 8 and 9)

This class will have children in year 8 and year 9 at school. (The oldest children in this class will turn 15 on 1 July or after.)
Term topics and objectives:
Term 13.1—Knowing What God Is Like 1 (Genesis to Chronicles)
A series of lessons based on selected people and incidents described in that section of the Old Testament between Genesis and Chronicles. The purpose is to reveal what God is like in his dealings with people of that era and to learn lessons applicable to us today.
Term 13.2—Knowing What God Is Like 2 (Job to Song Of Songs)
A series of based on selected parts of the Old Testament books of Job through to Song of Songs, designed to reveal what God is like in dealing with people, particularly main figures such as Job, David, and Solomon. Their actions and responses to God have much to teach us about God and ourselves.
Term 13.3—Knowing What God Is Like 3 (Prophets)
A series of lessons based on prophets described in that section of the Old Testament between Isaiah and Malachi, which teach us what God is like.
Term 13.4—Knowing God
This series will look at examples in the Scriptures of people who knew God and what they had in common with God and each other.
Term 14.1—Knowing Jesus 1 (Gospels)
This series is to help students to know Jesus. It will be achieved while conducting an overview of the life of Jesus which harmonises/arranges the events described in the four Gospels in some order of occurrence. This will help in seeing who Jesus is, drawing on the similarities and the differences between the Gospels.
Term 14.2—Knowing Jesus 2 (Gospels)
This series continues on from Term 14:1.
Term 14.3—Knowing Jesus And His Church 1 (Acts and Letters Of New Testament)
A series of lessons from Jesus' teachings given through his apostles and recorded in the New Testament. Students will continue to learn more about Jesus and his church as he explains who he is and the importance of his life recorded in the Gospels.(Note: Series will also counter the common mistake of thinking that the teachings Jesus gave are recorded only in the Gospels. The letters are an essential complement to the gospels in order to know Jesus as he revealed himself to mankind.)
Term 14.4—Knowing Jesus And His Church 2 (Letters of New Testament)
This series continues on from Term 14:3.

UPPER SECONDARY: 15 to 17 year olds (school years 10 to 12)

This class will have children in year 10, year 11 and year 12 at school. (The oldest in this class will turn 18 on 1 July or after.)
Term topics and objectives:
Term 15.1—Know your bible
Give the learner an overview of the Bible to give them the ability to see the gospel from beginning to finish. OT topics will aimed at showing Gods mercy and plan to save man. NT Topics will reflect how the message was carried out, so that the learner understands in future terms what exactly they are looking at.
Term 15.2—Salvation Through Jesus
To show the Gospel in its simple fashion. To explain how hearing works with belief, how beliving works with the need to repent, how believing and repenting comel one to be united to Christs' death. How all of these things continually motivate us through faith to serve the one whom we have surrendered to.
Term 15.3—A Study of OT Characters
To Use Individuals in the Scriptures to teach how faith in God through Jesus will shape how we live in this life. The topics disscussed should aim at problems youth in this age group are experiecing in life- It is very important not to shy away from the "hard hitting" issues while still having faith be their sole motivator.
Term 15.4—Gospel of Mark
To walk through the Gospel of Mark to show the Life of Jesus on earth and our need to accept Him as Lord.
Term 16.1—Church Individual and Church Collective
Give the learner and understanding of the Lords church that he established. Discuss important aspects of the Christains life and how relationaly we are members of one another. Discuss the importance of seeing Christs body as one, and discuss how we work within the body of Christ.
Term 16.2—Gospel of John
To walk through the Gospel of John to show the Life of Jesus on earth and our need to accept Him as Lord.
Term 16.3—Growing up in Christ
To Examine growing in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and Him crucifed and the changes the Spirit can have on ones faithfull life in Christ. This quarter will make practical application of how we can avoid quenching the Spirit, and also examples of how Jesus exhibited this in his life on Earth.
Term 16.4—Questions from the Class
To help answer questions that these young men and women have in regards to the Bible. Being open and able to respond to their questions regarding the scriptures and what they teach , should help the learners not only gain faith in what the scriptures teach, but also an eagerness to look at these questions for themselevs.
Term 17.1—Hitting home with 15-17
A series of lessons intended to apply the teachings of the Bible to the lives of teenagers, covering Noah- Good peer pressure/Prodigal Son/Christian Dating/Trusting in God. Note that it is vital to remember when teaching this class that our objective is not to produce 'good' people, but saved ones.
